Having served as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NB Power from 2010 to 2020 and CEO of the Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick (CÉNB) from 2020 to 2025, Gaëtan Thomas is an industry leader committed to the community. He is co-founder and Executive Vice President of bluehome, a company specializing in the restoration of marine ecosystems. He is also a strategic advisor to the law firm McCarthy-Tétrault, a strategic advisor to Kotter International , and a former member of the Net-Zero Advisory Body reporting to the federal Minister of the Environment. Gaëtan graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was later awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the same university. Gaëtan has been honored by Atlantic Business Magazine's Hall of Fame as a five-time Top 50 CEOs in the Atlantic region. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO - Atlanta Region). He is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) and also a member of the Board of Directors of EKKO. Acadia.
