Indira Moudi is an African-Canadian entrepreneur and certified administrator who embodies the link between global vision and local impact. An industrial engineer by training, she built a solid career in the international energy sector, notably at Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and Orano, before acquiring Viandes Lafrance, a century-old agri-food company in Quebec, in 2012. Under his leadership, the company became the first federally certified multi-species slaughterhouse in Quebec (lamb, beef and goat) and developed the Responsible Meats Process, an innovative model focused on sustainability and inclusion, in collaboration with family farms. This approach has earned the company the 2023 Mercuriades Award for Sustainable Development. Recognized for her human leadership built on trust and innovation, Indira Moudi was named CEO of the Year 2023 (SME) by Les Affaires and received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Canada-Africa Summit. A sought-after speaker, she speaks at international forums such as COP28 in Dubai, the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali and the Victoria Forum 2025 in Canada, where she promotes responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship.
